FROM BENAGIL TO SENHORA DA ROCHA: DAY 12

Our next walk took us along the coast near where we were staying where some of the most spectacular scenery is to be found. We started off in Carvoerio so that we could visit the impresssive rock formations at Algar Seco.

We then began the walk proper and we soon reached the beach at Marinha

This lovely beach was followed by a succession of sandy coves.

There was always a friendly sea gull.

Much of the scenery reminded one of the Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia.

And as always there were beautiful flowers to admire.

The far end of the walk was Romanesque chapel Senhora da Rocha.

After a little lunch in a nearby restaurant, we retraced our steps back to our starting point, Benagil.

Another pleasant day out on the coast.
